These terms cover the BTC and USDT escrow on this website. AMINA Bank AG’s general terms, privacy notice, and regulatory disclosures are published on aminagroup.com. A signed escrow agreement governs the specific trade. This escrow is not a bank deposit and is not covered by esisuisse deposit insurance.
1.About these terms
This escrow website is presented for AMINA Bank AG (“AMINA”, “we”, “us”), Kolinplatz 15, 6300 Zug, Switzerland, business registration number CHE-434.446.643. AMINA Bank AG is a Swiss bank authorised and regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).
AMINA’s products and services are licensed in Switzerland. Swiss bank supervision does not give UK investors access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. AMINA’s Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Regulatory Disclosure, and Legal Notices are published on aminagroup.com.
By continuing an escrow from the email sent to you, you agree to these escrow terms. If these terms and the signed escrow agreement conflict about that trade, the signed agreement prevails for that trade.
2.What this escrow is
The seller deposits BTC and the buyer deposits USDT (TRC20). When both deposits are confirmed and the signed conditions are met, BTC is released to the buyer and USDT to the seller.
The escrow is not a bank deposit, a savings account, or a custody account for general banking. Assets in an escrow are held only for that trade. They are not lent, pledged, or staked, and they are not covered by esisuisse deposit insurance.
3.Who opens an escrow
There is no sign-up and no sign-in on this website. AMINA staff opens the escrow for the buyer or the seller and completes that side, including the amounts and, where provided, the passport and signature.
Each party then receives an email with a secure link and a six-digit code. Enter the code to review the agreement, sign, and submit a passport. If you leave before the escrow is finished, open the same link and enter the same code again. The code stops working when the escrow is completed, cancelled, or refunded. An invitation that is never opened expires after seven days.
Passport images are never attached to the email. The other party can view a passport only when you allow it, and only after they enter the code sent to their own email.
4.How the escrow proceeds
- Terms. Staff records the BTC amount, the USDT price the parties have agreed, the deposit deadline, and any conditions. AMINA does not set that price.
- Agreement. An escrow agreement is generated from those terms. Each party signs it. The signed version is identified by its SHA-256 hash. A material change creates a new version that must be signed again.
- Deposits. The seller sends BTC on Bitcoin. The buyer sends USDT on TRON (TRC20) only. A deposit is credited after 3 Bitcoin confirmations or 19 TRON confirmations, and USDT only when it comes from the official TRC20 contract.
- Release. One staff member proposes the release and a different staff member approves it. BTC goes to the buyer and USDT to the seller, after the fee below.
5.Fees
The escrow fee is 2.50% of the trade, shared equally. Each side pays 1.25% of the asset it deposits. The fee is fixed when the escrow is created and printed in the signed agreement. No escrow fee is charged if the deposit is refunded before release.
Network fees are separate. You pay the network fee on your own deposit. On a BTC release or refund, the Bitcoin miner fee is deducted from the amount sent.
6.Deadlines, cancellation, and disputes
If both deposits are not confirmed by the deadline, either party may ask for the escrow to be cancelled. A party who deposited is refunded to an address they control. Refunds use the same two-person approval as a release.
Either party may open a dispute. A dispute freezes the release until it is resolved against the signed agreement, the on-chain record, and the evidence submitted. Opening a dispute does not replace any other legal remedy the parties may have against each other.
7.Risks
Digital assets can lose all of their value. Transfers on Bitcoin and TRON can be delayed or irreversible, and a stablecoin issuer can act in ways that affect USDT. The amounts in an escrow are fixed in units of each asset, so their market value can change before release. AMINA publishes further risk information with its legal notices, including the special risks of digital assets.
